TRIP TO BELGRADE , SERBIA !

TRIP TO BELGRADE , SERBIA !

Hello friends! Back to the Balkans! :) Today I want to tell you about our trip to the glorious city of Belgrade, the capital of the Republic of Serbia. I read so many negative reviews about this city before the trip! And the show "Heads and Tails" made me so sad that I can't put it into words :) Everything there is "gray, shabby and covered in graffiti." Don't believe it, friends, it's not like that! :) More precisely, not everything is like that.

Graffiti - yes, they are everywhere, but I stopped paying attention to them.....after just a couple of hours of my stay in Belgrade. And why is there practically no mention of a large number of parks, beautiful, monumental buildings, stunning stucco, statues, fountains? Belgrade is a clean city, everyone's favorite Paris is much dirtier...And the huge number of cafes and restaurants for every budget, delicious food and smiling locals who calmly go about their business and never refuse to help, say, navigate the map, isn't it worth mentioning? I was pleasantly surprised by the huge number ...bookstores in the city center! I counted more of them than cosmetics stores, and I think it's great :) It is worth mentioning the accommodation options in Belgrade, and there are a lot of them - from budget hostels to expensive hotels. We were also very lucky in this - we stayed at the Feel Belgium Luxury Apartments, and we were very satisfied with everything from the friendly reception staff to the apartment itself (which fully corresponds to the pictures and description on booking.com and, to be honest, "live" is even better. But I was a little disappointed in Valencia...). Besides, booking.com I didn't mention the spacious terrace with panoramic views of the entire city...Thank you, booking.com I was very pleasantly surprised! :)) During the week I spent in Belgrade, it was cozy, delicious and beautiful! So, friends, do not listen to the "negative", do not initially set yourself up skeptically, give Belgrade a chance to please you! And now to what you can see here. The oldest building, the Kalemegdan fortress, has historical and cultural significance, its roots date back to the era of the Roman Empire. Built of earth, stone and brick, the fortress has been standing at the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers for over 1,000 years. It's a stunningly beautiful place, impressive, with very beautiful views of the Danube, and don't forget to take a ride on the tourist tram! He rides through the park and throughout the fortress, I really liked it!

Также на территории есть интересный военный музей, а многие экспонаты выставлены прямо на территории.

Friends, I strongly advise you to visit the ZOO ! I still don't understand why everyone writes on the Internet that the zoo is small. It's very big, personally, I didn't even have the strength to go around all the animals. In addition, it is well-groomed, clean, with a very wide variety of species represented - from kangaroos to white tigers. There is even a crocodile named Mua, who got there from Germany, survived the Second World War and the bombing of Begrad, and is such a long-lived woman :)

The largest Orthodox cathedral located on the Balkan Peninsula is the Church of St. Sava. Beautiful and majestic. I noticed that there are a lot of beautiful churches in Belgrade...

The famous Moscow Hotel, a very beautiful, huge building, did not want to fit entirely into the frame :)

I strongly advise you - when walking around Belgrade, do not be lazy to raise your head more often, you will see a lot of beautiful things...

The main pedestrian street of Belgrade is Knyaz Michael Street. Cafes, restaurants, shops, street musicians - everything is here :)

Serbian Parliament Building .....

I advise you to visit the Botanical Garden - it is small, but very nice, a pleasant place for walking...

After walking along Krunska Street, we found the Nikola Tesla Museum, charming vintage cars and many interesting cafes, and in general the street is very pleasant.

I hope, after looking at the photo, you will understand that Belgrade is often unreasonably scolded :) It's an interesting city, a city of contrasts, sometimes beautiful, sometimes not so much, but a city with its own character, style, and atmosphere. Come, you won't regret it!

Thank you for your attention!
