COLORMANIA : GREEN. Color psychology, combinations, outfits..

Hello friends! Today is the second part of the column "Colormania". The previous time we talked about positive and juicy orange , but for today I chose ...Green! So, what does green mean according to the psychology of color?

GREEN is the color of grass and leaves. For many peoples, it symbolizes youth, hope, and fun, although sometimes it also symbolizes immaturity and lack of perfection. The green color is extremely material and has a calming effect, but it can also produce a depressing impression (it is not by chance that longing is called "green", and the person himself "turns green" from anger). Iranians associate the green color with rapid growth and freshness, as well as with misfortune, sadness, and sorrow, so they say "green foot" about an ill—fated person, and "green house" about a cemetery. In medieval Europe, buffoons wore green and yellow clothes, and bankrupts in Germany had to wear green hats.
Many shades of green have a wide variety of interpretations and effects on the human nervous system. So, saturated coniferous tones indicate strength, durability and stability. These colors are chosen by people who are self-confident and have stable life positions. Delicate shades of sage and moss have a calming effect, while emerald and malachite indicate a craving for luxury and wealth. The combination of green and yellow has an exciting effect on a person. This symbiosis is associated with spring, renewal and optimism. The green color is also widely used for medical purposes. It normalizes blood pressure and strong heartbeat. Also, the green color is indispensable for severe nervous disorders and migraines. Thus, the green color in psychology is considered definitely positive and even useful!

I made a selection of images with this color to demonstrate how green looks in images in real life. There are different shades of green: khaki, light green, emerald, dark green, mint.

Thank you for your attention!
