MINSK, BELARUS. Our three days trip...
Greetings, friends! This post is about traveling, and this time I visited Minsk with my daughters. Now I'll tell you about my impressions...
We had been going to Minsk several times before, but we still couldn't get there for various reasons. And finally, the puzzle came together :) We were flying through Belarus in transit to Armenia, and decided to stay in Minsk for 3 days. It's not a lot, of course, but we've managed to get some idea of the city. What caught your eye? Large avenues, wide streets (we rented an apartment near Independence Avenue), the general well-groomed appearance of the city, cleanliness, many national flags (on buildings), inscriptions in both Belarusian and Russian. There are a lot of green areas, parks, in general, I can call Minsk a "green" city, so it seemed to me. There was a large Chelyuskintsev Park next to us, where we enjoyed walking.
We were in the historical part of the city, unfortunately, we didn't have time to visit everything we wanted, but we partially saw the Upper Town and the Trinity suburb. We walked along the embankment of the Svisloch River....
Shopping was also necessary, especially since, in addition to just "looking and buying something nice," I had to run for a new suitcase, since after the flight to Minsk, the wheel of the old one practically fell off. We made purchases in the DANA Mall, an excellent selection of brands, goods, cafes, and also liked the huge Green supermarket on the ground floor. Santa and Euro Wholesale supermarkets are also not bad, with a decent selection of products.
Regarding cafes and restaurants: there are many of them, certainly, for every taste and budget. We couldn't pass by the famous "Cornflowers" (a chain of restaurants of national cuisine), nevertheless it is an iconic and most popular institution. And we were very satisfied! We had dinner at the Cornflowers on Independence Ave., There was a very tasty, rich pickle soup with garlic buns and salad with tongue and honey mushrooms, as well as mint tea. Delicious at home, and not expensive (which is also nice).
I also can't help but mention that several times we were helped with the wheelchair (lifting and lowering it down the stairs), for which I thank you very much, it's always nice to meet friendly people.
My impressions of Minsk were positive, it's good that we stayed there for a few days, and we saw a new country for us, though not for long.👍Thank you for your attention!
