FREDERIC MALLE "ROSE & CUIR" my review....

Greetings, friends! I will share with you my impressions about the fragrance Frederic Malle Rose & Cuir, whether you liked it or not, and tell you in general about my attitude to this brand.

To begin with, many lovers and connoisseurs of perfumery speak about Frederic Malle brand with anticipation, given the complex compositions in the brand's portfolio, as well as the great perfumers involved in their creation. It was incredibly interesting for me to try something from the brand. At the moment, I got acquainted with "Portrait of Lady", and it amazed me! At first it caused rejection, then interest, then actually hypnotized :) Complex, minor, characteristic. Maybe I'll tell you more next time. But today I would like to focus in more detail on another perfume from the brand, Rose & Cuir, I have a 3.5ml branded sample in my hands and I have been testing it for a couple of days now.

FREDERIC MALLE "ROSE & CUIR" was launched in 2019. The creator is the great Jean-Claude Ellena (whom I respect very much, but not all of his works "sit" on my skin)...The perfume belongs to the leather group. The main chords are fresh red, fougere, pink.

What can I say about perfume? Complex, ambiguous...Probably what makes it so peculiar is the combination of notes of leather and geranium, both notes sound obvious, and create a rather masculine chord, a certain detachment, minorness, rigor and roughness in perception. The leather note is actually one of my least favorite notes. It seems as if the perfume does not fit on the skin, does not merge with you, but exists separately, and in this I feel some discomfort.

Either the fragrance is not mine by nature, or it just didn't sit on my skin, but there is some disharmony in it for me. It's not my scent, it's hard for me to wear it and I don't know where to wear it. Besides, it seemed to me that he was rather moody about the weather. It sounded best in humid, cool weather, at other times there was a lot of "dust" in the sound. It was interesting to get to know each other, it's certainly a complex fragrance, with disclosure and character, but we obviously didn't get along with the characters, it happens...
