MONTALE RISTRETTO INTENSE CAFE.

MONTALE RISTRETTO INTENSE CAFE review...

Hi, friends! It's getting colder, which means it's time to switch to scents that are dense, warming, and persistent.… One of my favorite perfumes, Montale Ristretto Intense Cafe, fits perfectly into this category.

As far as I know, opinions about Montale are usually the exact opposite: they are either loved or disliked by this signature musk and, consequently, the entire brand as a whole, there are practically no indifferent people. I would still not generalize like that, in some Montale perfumes their musk is more smoothed, and it is easier and more pleasant to wear it. That's exactly what can be said about today's perfume, but let's take it all in order.

The fragrance Ristretto Intense Cafe was launched in 2019 by perfumer Pierre Montal (owner and sole perfumer of the Montale and Mancera brands), belongs to the oriental gourmet group. The main declared chords are coffee, pink, and warm spicy. Concentration extrait de parfum.

Coffee bliss, flavored with caramel, delicate powder (apparently, it's musk) and a slightly discernible floral accord! The fragrance is very beautiful. Of course, everything about perfumes is very subjective, but in my opinion, those who are looking for a plausible coffee flavor can find it at the Ristretto Intense Cafe. I hear the emphasis on coffee and vanilla, not on rose. Of course, I can't help but mention the progenitor of Intense Cafe. For me personally, the difference is obvious, because in that fragrance, rose is the base, a little sweetness, coffee is just a hint. It's like you're sitting in a nice place, a cafe, with a vase of roses in front of you, and a waiter walked past you with a cup of fragrant coffee, but he walked by quickly. And you continue to smell the roses (and, by the way, I feel the musk more strongly in the Intense Cafe, this is rather a minus). With Ristretto Intense Cafe, the situation is reversed, you are sitting over your cup of coffee, and next to tiramisu, you inhale this cozy, most pleasant aroma, and somewhere far away, a couple of tables away from you, there is a vase with roses, sometimes carrying a delicate floral fragrance. These are my associations. I can only add that the Ristretto Intense Cafe is my number one in the cold. A lot of negativity (for reasons that are not entirely clear to me) can be heard on the Internet in the direction of Montale, but I advise you to get acquainted with the fragrances and make up your own individual opinion, taking into account only your skin and sense of smell.

The perfume has strong longevity (which is typical for Montale :), but I would like to point out that it rather creates a cocoon, a dense haze around the wearer. It has moderate sillage (again, for comparison, the Intense Cafe version is more diffuse, probably due to the greater amount of musk in it). But I even like it, I feel more comfortable and comfortable with it, I can clearly hear the perfume from my skin for about 7 hours, and the light fleur stays on. Seasonally— it's definitely winter for my taste. In warm weather, my hand reaches for other perfumes, but in cold weather it's time for the Ristretto Intense Cafe.

Thank you for your attention !
