SPRING, BLACK DRESS AND A LITTLE BIT FASHION HISTORY...
Happy first day of SPRING to you, friends! Spring is a time of inspiration and romance, and, at the same time, my favorite time of the year :)
With the arrival of spring, we girls are increasingly starting to wear dresses and skirts, and the weather finally allows us to do so. And today I would like to show my image in a black dress.
I chose a midi length, a dress with a v-neck and a flared skirt. Pay attention to the v-neck when choosing clothes, it suits any type of figure and solves many problems (drawing attention to the upper part of the figure, which is important for the "pear" type of figure, visually stretching the silhouette, correcting for a round face and short neck, etc.). A flared skirt allows me to wear a dress on a walk with a child and feel comfortable at the same time, which would be very difficult with a pencil skirt...
The waist is trimmed with a decorative belt, and this helps to emphasize the difference between chest-waist-hips. In my opinion, this is the key to a feminine and elegant look. Do you know which of the fashion designers invented a model of dresses with an emphasis on these parameters, and began the era of elegant women's dresses, the silhouettes and details of which are still often used by designers in modern collections?
In the 50s, Christian Dior created a new dress model called New Look, the goal is to emphasize female forms, but at the same time look as elegant as possible. The models of such dresses and suits were of two types: with a flared skirt (sun skirt) and a narrowed pencil skirt.
You must agree that such silhouettes can often be seen in modern collections, and many designers do not hide the fact that they draw their inspiration from the fashion of the 50s.
For me, this era is also one of my favorites, the era of glitter and chic, an era that delights, and I want to look at these photos over and over again. But the 50s aren't just New Look styles, they're also Teddy Boys and Rockabilly styles. For those who are interested in learning more about these styles, I recommend the movie "Crybaby" with J. K. Rowling.Depp is in the title role, the film is stylized in the 50s, and the costumes of the characters perfectly reflect the fashion of those years.
That's all for today, I hope you were interested. See you soon!
