BALTIC SEA COAST, ZELENOGRADSK ...

BALTIC SEA COAST, ZELENOGRADSK ...

Greetings to all! And I suggest you go on a virtual trip to one of the beautiful, atmospheric fairy-tale towns on the shores of the Baltic Sea. And we are talking about Zelenogradsk !

Zelenogradsk, also known as the resort town of Kranz, was part of East Prussia until 1947, then became part of Russia, namely the Kaliningrad Region, and received its current name. In this post, I'll tell you what impressed me the most, although overall this lovely town leaves a pleasant, lasting impression. It's like you're in a fairy tale! everyday moments. The first one, of course, is the Baltic Sea! Stormy or calm, it attracts the eyes, you want to look at it, inhale deeply this brackish fresh air, catch full Zen and just not think about anything. A wonderful long promenade along the shore, there is also a cafe, a Ferris wheel, and benches for contemplation and relaxation. What you see in the photo below in the sea are breakwaters. They are necessary in order to break the waves and they did not "eat away" the beach, did not wash away the sand.

The architecture also makes a very pleasant impression. The houses look like dolls. As far as I understand, all this is new (old German villas and buildings have been preserved in Svetlogorsk and Kaliningrad, there don't seem to be any in Zelenograd), but it was done with soul and taste. Houses and buildings, especially on the central Kurortny Avenue, are in the German style, there are a lot of cute colorful houses. As for the cuisine, everything is fine, local cuisine is represented in restaurants of different price levels. The most interesting places, in my opinion, are the restaurants BALT, Tak Bistro, and Gnezdo (located not on the main street, but on an alley along the sea), The Telegraph. And the main feature is the fragrant and delicious pretzels, with the addition of cinnamon, or almonds, or chocolate. Try it, it's delicious! 😋

And another feature of Zelenogradsk is the seals! There are many of them, they are well-groomed, well-fed and calm. And besides the live representatives, there are also their images all over the center, namely murals/ graffiti with cats. It's very cute and impressive, I want to photograph them all!

But where to without AMBER? There's nowhere without amber, it's the Baltic! For lovers and connoisseurs, the choice is huge, the prices are adequate, the AMBER is natural, you can buy jewelry for yourself or as a gift.

What should I say in conclusion? Zelenogradsk is a unique small resort town with its own atmosphere that gets right into your heart and remains a warm memory in it!

Thank you for your attention !
